"We wanted to create an upmarket venue that looked like a London style wine bar, and extend the restaurant from an Indian to an Indian-Bar-Grill. We want customers to feel they can come to Zooma and be able to just have a drink, or have a drink and try some Indian style food from the grill or Tapas on the bar."
- The restaurant opened in 1999 called The Memsahib, we took over the restaurant from Imran in January 2019, who now proudly works as our Front of House/Manager.
- Our chefs are all Bangladeshi and have been at Memsahib since it opened, producing the great quality food we can't wait for you to try.
- Original art from local talent Matt Lloyd gives the restaurant a unique look and feel, featuring paintings of many iconic musicians.
David Westwood and Anthony Hackner took over ownership in January 2019, totally transforming the restaurant and renaming it to Zooma.
Your experience with Zooma starts at the door, we've put a lot of time and effort into creating a Wow factor starting from the moment you step into the lobby and then upstairs into the restaurant. The ladies & gents have received a lot of attention too as we believe it is an integral part of your experience with us. We have also had a brand new kitchen fitted, providing a comfortable efficient environment for our deserving chefs

What people are saying about us
We were recommended to Zooma by a resident of Compton for us as a central meeting point for our families and how pleased we were they we took up his suggestion. The food was amazing as was the decor and the atmosphere. The service was exceptional and the staff were so friendly.
This restaurant is a real gem. The atmosphere was very chilled, the food was amazing! I had the Naga Mirchi an the chicken was so moist and melt in your mouth. Definitely recommend for a special dining experience.
